Over the years, the original owners, Giampaolis enlarged and customized this American Foursquare house as they tended their apricot and walnut trees and hosted ravioli-cooking marathons in the basement for Holy Cross Church, the first Italian-American parish in the city. Today a lovely family photo of the Giampaolis graces the houses dining room, which is still the largest room in the house. As the decades passed, time took its inevitable toll on the aging house, but its thick redwood beams and Douglas fir floor held true and strong. No earthquake produced a single crack on the immaculate plaster walls in the parlor and dining room. The house had become a fixer-upper when a new owner came along in 2001. Every room useable and presentable. The current owner upgraded electrical in home and garage finished the hardwood floors, insulated walls, reinforced the basement foundation and turned the packing shed into a garage and workshop. The 1930s crystal chandelier graces the dining room.
